Log Line:
A lawyer holds the eyewitness evidence to catch a killer, but the identified criminal is the lawyer’s own mentor, prospective father-in-law, and also the judge who presides over the case.
Conflicts:
Impossible Goal:
Being a lawyer and an eye witness of a murder that you consider is done by your mentor and father in law is not easy. I repeat not easy. It is a burden that Kasilash decided to hold onto himself just so that he could save kaalia ( a suspected murderer of dhaniram). As a lawyer he took the oath to serve every person justly, but life put him over bridge of sword. Walking on it made him bleed but falling might cost him the river of fire underneath. Kailash was determine to save kaalia from this in just justice but also he wanted to save his mentor, who he considered to be the murderer. The main question around which the whole story revolves is, Will kailash be able to bring kaalia and dhaniram justice? As he knew the murderer but couldn’t utter a word.

Unlikely Hero:
Kailash is the protector and the savior of the law. He is not only a successful lawyer but also a loyal son-in-law. His relationship with his mentor is holding him to pursue his duty faithfully, as he cannot confess that he saw Badri Prasad committing the crime. It is clear in the start that he might try to save Kaalia but surely he will not be able to avenge Dhaniram’s death. But as the film moves further into the twist and turns we witness that Kailash confesses badri Prasad’s crime, which is something that we did not expect from him.
These changes in Kailash character not only portray him as an unlikely hero but made us able to draw a connection and attachment with the character.
It is beautifully said
Put your heart aside. Duty comes first. But when fulfilling your duty, put your heart into it. It helps.
Josemaria Escriva

Invincible Villain:
Laws are certainly made to protect people from villains, but what if we turn the table?
Law is now the villain. In this film law is portrayed as the villain as is the true killer of justice and in this film also the killer of kaalidas. It is made quite evident that a person with higher rank or privilege will easily slip through the hands of law, and as the law is blind folded wouldn’t be able to hunt it down. Also how a decision is entirely made on what the witness sees. He might have concluded things differently but the life of the victim depends on that victim.

Character Analysis:
Appearance:
Kailash’s appearance was enough to tell us about his reputation and standard. He is seen well dressed and has well etiquette. His appearance not only includes his clean iron clothes and polish shoes but also his etiquette.
Beliefs:
His believes and morals are the only thing that made QANOON a must watch for everyone. His believe to bring justice and fulfill his oath made his character an inspiration for living bodies. In the courtroom when he confesses to be the eyewitness of dhaniram’s murder he put aside all of his love and relationship duties and let his heart follow what he believes. Not only that but when Kailash was trying to save Badri Prasad he was also following his belief on loyalty that he hold towards his mentor.
Want And Need:
Kailash’s WANT from the very start is to obey the law and make people do the same. As a lawyer he is supposed to bring justice not only to Dhaniram but kaalia too. But he forgets that he also NEEDS to avenge Dhaniram’s murderer. Kailash on his own was not very sure about himself he was dangling between love and duty. His love for his mentor wanted him to protect Badri Prasad but his duty needed him as a loyal lawyer.
Secrets And Fears:
Kailash character was not as white as his collar. He held secrets and fears beneath his sleeves.
He keep it to himself that he saw Badri Prasad murder Dhaniram. Also, he didn’t even tell this ugly truth to Meena (daughter of Badri Prasad) as he thought that she might not be able to forgive her father. Kailash was also afraid of the punishment that the court might give to Badri Prasad if he confessed his witnessing experience in front of everyone.
Mistakes:
Every person holds some mistakes that later on helps in making them a better person. Same goes with Kasilash as a realizes his mistakes of saving badri Prasad when kaalia is sentenced to death. After Kasilash realizes his mistakes he tries his level best to undo them. That now has to be confessing bard Prasad crime.
It is noted that Kasilash is not just an ordinary person of a society but a lawyer who holds many responsibility regarding the good and bad of this society. Notifying that the mistake of hiding the truth not only from the law but from meena is considered to be a crime.

Positive And Negative Attributes
- Positive:
Kailash tries his level best to bring justice to kaalia but when he notices that he is failing to do so he reveal the truth that he witnessed on the murder night.
- Negative :
Being a lawyer it was Kailash duty to notify the court about the horrifying activity on the murder night. But he considered his love and loyalty more important and almost let an innocent serve death sentence. Not only that, he also almost let the murderer slip out of his hands.
Act No 1:
Act one of this movie started when kailash realized that kaali is being accused of a murder that he hasn’t done. This injustice to kaalia persuaded kailash to fight for kaalia as he was unable to do the same for dhaniram. The moment kailash decided to lead the case in favor of kaalia his struggle started.
Act No 2 (Life of a wanderer and a warrior):
Act no two of this movie started when Kailash finally confessed the entire horrible thing that he witness on the murder light. Previously he was fighting for half justice i.e. justice for kaalia and he let the murder of dhaniman fade away. But when he realized that he couldn’t save kaalia from this blind law he put forwarded the truth he held within himself for far too long.
